Pete's Pub

$$ Fodor's choice

Next door to Pete's Gallery is an outdoor tiki hut restaurant and bar where you can wiggle your toes in the sand while you chow down on fresh seafood, burgers, and cold tropical drinks. Try the mango-glazed grouper, lemon-pepper mahimahi, or coconut-cracked conch while you kick back and enjoy the view of the harbor. The Bistro

$$$$ Fodor's choice

Dine on a rib eye with smashed potatoes or a broiled lobster tail while overlooking gleaming rows of yachts moored in the Boat Harbour Marina at Abaco Beach Resort. For fresh seafood, the seared snapper and lobster ravioli are particularly good. For dessert, try the calorie-drenched guava duff or bread pudding. For lunch, the menu offers a lighter side, with an array of soups, salads, appetizers, and burgers.

The Club Restaurant at Green Turtle Club Resort

$$ Fodor's choice

Breakfast and lunch are served harborside on a covered, screened-in patio, while dinner takes place in the elegant dining room. At lunch, treat yourself to lobster or fish tacos, conch chowder, or a wrap. Dinner is where the club really shines, transporting you back to the 1920s with elegant dining beneath antique chandeliers. The steak is among the best around. The jumbo lobster and artichoke ravioli, crispy grouper with Thai red curry noodles, and black and white tuna are just some of the temptations on the extensive menu. Saturday night, prime rib takes center stage. You can also pre-order a picnic lunch to take out while you explore the island by golf cart or surrounding cays by boat.

The Wrecking Tree

$ Fodor's choice

The wooden deck at this casual restaurant was built around the wrecking tree, a place where 19th-century wrecking vessels brought their salvage. Today it's a cool place to linger over a cold Kalik and a hearty lunch of some of the best cracked conch you'll find anywhere, fish-and-chips, or zesty conch salad.

Thirsty Cuda

$ Fodor's choice

Be prepared to get wet to order your meal or drink from this floating food truck—it's anchored in waist-deep water off Tahiti Beach at the end of Elbow Cay. The sesame conch bites, burgers, and potent libations are worth wading out for. Check the weather forecast before making the trip—they're only there if the weather's good. If it is, they'll be there daily from noon until five.

Treasure Sands Club

$$$ Fodor's choice
Be sure to make a reservation for a Friday or Saturday night dinner especially during the season, as this restaurant just outside the entrance to the Treasure Cay Resort town draws locals and snowbirds from all over the Abacos. If it's not too cool, the restaurant will be converted to an open-air space, and you're right on the world-famous Treasure Cay beach. A large pool surrounded by lounge chairs and a sound system give this spot a very South Beach vibe. For lunch, enjoy the Asian cracked conch or fish tacos. For dinner, select from the pastas, seafood, duck, lamb, short ribs, or steak Diane. Finish it up with one of the decadent desserts.

Wally's

$$ Fodor's choice

This two-story, pink colonial villa sits across Bay Street from the marina, fronted by green lawns, hibiscus, and white-railed verandahs. This is Marsh Harbour's most popular restaurant—the place to go for good food, potent rum cocktails, and serious people-watching. Lunch is a scene, especially if you sit outside, where you'll find a mix of locals, tourists, and boaters enjoying Greek or Caesar salads, spicy grouper, and mahimahi burgers. Inside there's a stylish bar where you can enjoy cocktails or a meal, a small boutique, and three dining rooms, all adorned with Haitian paintings. Dinner is served every night except Sunday and the menu includes creamy curried shrimp, mahimahi Provençal, or a filet mignon smothered in a mushroom sauce, as well as a daily sashimi. Save room for the irresistible key lime pie or Bahamian bread pudding with coconut and raisins, drenched in a brandy sauce.
