3 Best Shopping in Central Coastal Drive, Prince Edward Island

The Dunes Studio Gallery and Café

Fodor's choice

This enticing gallery sells an array of cool Canadian-made goods, much of it from local artists and artisans. Some come with an unmistakable Indonesian influence, including pottery (you can watch it being crafted in the on-site studio), Island art, clothing, funky furniture, fine jewelry, contemporary glassware, and other one-of-a-kind items. It also has a beautiful garden and views to the water.

Island Chocolates

A family-run chocolate factory in a 19th-century store, Island Chocolates sells sweets handmade with Belgian chocolate, fresh fruit, nuts, and liqueurs. Espresso, teas, and decadent desserts are also available, and there is a nice deck to sit on while you munch. Willy Wonka wannabes will enjoy the chocolate-making workshops held on Wednesday. Sunday brunches feature chocolate waffles and fresh fruit, and special events include music, literary soirées, and Wine & Chocolate pairings.

The Great Canadian Soap Co.

This shop produces dozens of types of hand-milled goat's milk soap at its home base near Brackley Beach. (That explains the gamboling goats you'll encounter near the shop). Other all-natural bath, beauty, and household cleaning products are available as well.
