Northwest Wyoming has many restaurants. Anyplace you go, you’ll find basic Western fare such as steaks, chicken, and burgers; in Jackson there’s a wider selection, with menus listing everything from Mexican and Thai dishes to trout, buffalo, and elk. There are also a few fine-dining establishments in the region. Arguably the best steaks in all of Wyoming are prepared at Svilars', a steak house in the tiny community of Hudson, east of Lander.
Serving full-fare, authentic Cantonese-style Chinese food, this might be the only joint in America where you'll find a Budweiser sign over the door, Asian decor on the walls, large-screen TVs playing all the big games, and ketchup on a table beside a bowl of egg-drop soup. It's good for families with picky eaters, as the menu carries more than 100 items—from lo mein and mu shu shrimp to hamburgers, pork chops, and fried chicken. Many dishes also come with mushrooms and barbecue sauce; some even have spaghetti.
This crowded, noisy place serves large sandwiches, never-frozen half-pound hamburgers, and hand-tossed New York–style pizzas. In spring and summer you can sit on the garden deck while the kids play in the yard.
This fun, diner-inspired café with checkered floors and colorful booths serves up a hearty country-style breakfast all day and an assortment of burgers, sandwiches, and salads for lunch. There's also a full espresso bar and ice-cream selections. The front of the store is full of USA-made gifts and collectibles.

A favorite of locals, the Den serves up traditional steak-house favorites and more. All beef is choice grade and has a minimum 28 days of dry aging before being served. Located just 20 minutes west of Pinedale on the way to Jackson, the Den offers fine dining in blue jeans.
No pork is served here (hence the name). But otherwise, you'll get more-than-generous portions of Mexican fare, over a mesquite grill if you like, with a range of homemade sauces from mild to spicy. Favorites include sizzling fajitas, carne asada, shrimp mango wraps, the rich queso dip, and a Tex-Mex–style seafood chimichanga. It's usually noisy and jam-packed, but there's a full-service bar whipping up frozen strawberry margaritas that you can sip in the festive atmosphere while waiting for your table.
With almost everything locally sourced, from the food ingredients to the coffee, the Middle Fork serves up breakfast classics and lunch sandwiches with style. This trendy café is located in the historic 1918 Coolidge building and has a great selection of local beers, mimosas, and a Bloody Mary to start your morning right.
