Waco's premier full-service hotel, the Hilton underwent a $19 million renovation that was to be completed in May 2008. The only things that remain the same are the hotel's doors (from guest-room doors to closet doors). Everything else has been redone—even the main entrance has shifted, from University Parks Drive to Third Street and Franklin Avenue, allowing more space for drop-offs. It's a favorite of business travelers (it's connected to the Waco Convention Center) and guests connected with nearby Baylor University. Some of the spacious, luxurious rooms overlook Indian Spring Park and the historic Suspension Bridge just across the street.
