Art in the Wild

Keep an eye out for public artwork throughout the city, including Thread and Needle, which appear on the Francis S. Guess Connector, a bridge located between Park Plaza and Charlotte Avenue. Formerly known as the 28th–31st Avenue Bridge, this connector was recently built to unite formerly segregated parts of the city (Midtown and the historically black north Nashville neighborhoods). The needle and thread are meant to symbolize that step towards unity.
