Magic Kingdom Resort Area

Despite being the oldest hotels on Disney property, the five properties in the Magic Kingdom Resort Area are some of the nicest, and all five have undergone refurbishment in the past 10 years. What's more, staying in this area makes everyone—from those who want a bar that's complete with a big band to families hoping to watch the fireworks while eating sushi—feel as if they're in the middle of all the action.

Those looking for a more upscale experience should consider the three hotels that are all connected to the Magic Kingdom by monorail: the Grand Floridian, the Polynesian Village Resort, and the Contemporary. Connected by boat are the Wilderness Lodge and the only camping location on Disney property, Fort Wilderness. Although these are not as pricey or upscale, they still offer easy transportation to the Magic Kingdom.

Adults looking for a nice night out will be thrilled with the many dining options at the Grand Floridian and the California Grill at the Contemporary. Big groups should look into the bungalows at the Polynesian Village Resort or the Boulder Ridge Villas at Fort Wilderness Lodge.
