Fodor's Expert Review Inn at Zaca Creek
1297 Jonata Park Rd., Buellton, California, 93427, USA
Originally built by descendants of Buellton’s founding family and reinvented as a rustic luxury resort after decades of dormancy, this elegant collection of suites, a restaurant, and secluded, multitiered spaces on 3 tree-studded acres pays homage to the land’s historical roots and pastoral setting. The massive stone-and-hand-carved-timber exteriors resemble a 17th-century English country estate. Amenities in the six distinctive units vary and include king or double-queen beds, large-screen TVs, and rainfall showers and/or soaking tubs. A big draw is the on-site Tavern at Zaca Creek, where you can dine on first-rate meals and relax during happy hour on the covered patio or indoors in a remodeled Old West-style saloon and dance hall.
