Francophiles congregate here for that je ne sais quoi, right down to the delicious French onion soup, escargots, steak tartare, and coq au vin, especially Thursday through Sunday nights for live jazz. If you think this place looks straight out of Paris, it mostly is: the banquettes, zinc bar, light fixtures, and cinema posters were shipped from a defunct café in the City of Lights to this atmospheric downtown alley.
