This French restaurant is an excellent choice for dinner before an event at the nearby California Center for the Arts. Original paintings decorate the walls and crisp white tablecloths cover the tables, adorned with fresh flowers. The menu changes frequently; offerings might include tournedos Merlot, sweet potato ravioli, beef Wellington, or duck à l'orange. The wine list is serious, as are the desserts.
Tuesday–Thursday arrive before 6 pm for the three-course dinner for $30; Wednesdays have half-off bottles of wine.
