Why We Like It
There’s truly nothing better than when a hotel decides to not nickel and dime their customers over every little thing. The Soho House bakes everything into their (incredibly reasonable) price and lets its guests enjoy the ride. And what a ride it is – the food is wonderful, the bars are fun and flirty, and the common spaces are relaxing. They probably have the best gym in town and a top five spa as well. Beyond that, there are two pools, endless events and activities, and a staff that is laid-back but super attentive to every little detail. It’s the best hotel experience you’ll find in Barcelona and arguably one of the best in the world.

Make no mistake about this, there’s no better hotel in Barcelona then the Soho House, and it might not even be close. This five-star standout beats every other high-end spot on price, service, amenities, attitude, and overall vibe. They do absolutely everything right – from the softness of the toilet paper and immense vanity kits to providing guests with non-stop entertainment and loads of freebies. This hotel is fun, creative, young-at-heart, sexy, and cool without having to try too hard. Do yourself a favor and book your next vacation here, you will not regret it.
Tip This Soho house has a 36-seat cinema room that features a mix of box office hits and international award winners all week long--also free. There's also a speakeasy next to the theater for cocktails before or after the show.

Room
Meticulously designed bedrooms have a studious and masculine sensibility and come in tiny, small, medium, and large categories. They all have dark wood floors, Nespresso machines, giant smart TVs (with dozens of free movies), plush headboards, and window views of the marina.
Tip Free stuff includes: fluff and fold! Cookies, coffee, flip flops for the beach, turndown service, bottled water, and a welcome bottle of wine or a complimentary bar cart service that comes by once a day.
Bathroom
Stunning bathrooms are decked out with Moroccan tile, standalone tubs, copper fittings, separate rain showers, and double sinks. Cowshed products are used here, and they provide an insane amount of shampoo and conditioner options. The vanity kit (that’s free as well) includes ear plugs, condoms, lube, tampons, eye cream, toner, moisturizer, and more. The towels are giant, the water pressure intense, and the TP is soft. Best. Bathroom. Ever.
Lobby
There isn’t much of a lobby at the ground floor check-in area, but riding up the elevator, you’ll discover a great open living room space dubbed The Club. Mismatched furniture, book shelves, ample outlets (including built-in plugs for iPhones and Androids), and lots of natural light make this the perfect meeting and work area. Free candy is in large glass jars if you need a sugar fix during the day.
You Should Know There are house rules you need to abide by here. That means you’re allowed to invite one guest, cameras are not permitted (they have a photo booth for that), and phone calls have to be taken in a separate area.
Pool
The rooftop pool is just big enough for a lap or two, but it’s much more of a chill-out space than a workout spot (save that for the gym--see below). Surrounding the pool are candy-striped daybeds, a pool bar that opens at noon, and looking out are views of the marina that are simply stunning.
Spa
The Cowshed Relax Spa features a second indoor pool, has four massage cabins, and provides every treatment option imaginable. In case you forgot your swim trunks, there’s a shop there with fashionable finds, and there’s also a mani/pedi station where guests can slip on headphones and plug into Apple TV while they get buffed up.
Gym
Probably the best fitness center in Barcelona, the enormous Cowshed Gym has a steam room, TechnoGym machines, free weights, and every other piece of equipment you might need. There’s a separate studio space with free classes (5-7 per day!) including boxing, spin, yoga, and more.
Dining
There are a lot of great dining options, which shouldn’t come as a surprise. The House Kitchen on the main floor is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night and offers a stellar Mediterranean menu. On the ground floor is Cecconi’s, a sumptuous Italian restaurant that also hosts a fun Sunday brunch from noon-5pm. Guests can also get breakfast and other bites on the roof including at a Saturday barbecue where chefs fire up their Big Green Egg with various meats and veggies.
Drinking
On the main club floor is the Square Bar which cuts the room in half--breakfast area on one side and couches, chairs, and meeting space on the other. The bar has expert mixologists to go along with the same Mediterranean menu. On the roof is another bar, which is a flirty, late-night scene as Soho House members and hotel guests mix and mingle over craft cocktails.
Tip The hotel has 30-60 events every month and that includes movie screenings, DJ sessions, live music, city excursions, and more. Being a member here has loads of privileges.

Getting Around
The hotel is right by the water and at the base of the Gothic Quarter. Walking through this quarter is like going back in time with windy alleys, ancient churches, small shops, and savory restaurants. Catching a taxi is easy and the nearest metro station is about a 5-10-minute walk. Across the street by the water, you’ll often find weekend markets, festivals, and other events.
Restaurants
For expert and unique Catalan cuisine from a Michelin chef, head over to The Serras hotel where inside is Informal (4-minute walk). Seafood fans should try Estimar (10-minute walk), where fresh fish has been served for dozens of years.
Bars
If you love cocktails, you can’t leave Barcelona without drinking at Dr. Stravinski (10-minute walk) known as one of the best bars in the world. Another cocktail spot, hidden inside a pastrami deli is Paradiso (10-minute walk) which also serves pastrami with its sips.
