"An enclosed garden" is the translation of this restaurant's Greek name and, indeed, this family tavern is found to be shady and quiet since it resides underneath a lush pergola. A good starter is fava with carmelized onions and capers. As for main dishes, Perivolaria is best known for its pork shank flavored with sage and roasted in a wood oven; another top choice would be the handmade tortillini stuffed with local cheese, spinach, and fresh tomatoes. The homemade bougatsa (custard in phyllo) is an exceptional desert.
