Fodor's Expert Review Le Timbre

$$$$ St-Germain-des-Pres Lunch

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.

The meaning of Le Timbre ("postal stamp") really does describe this intimate space, where a spare but constantly changing seasonal menu concentrates on market fresh ingredients, with meat and seafood dishes alongside plenty of hearty vegetables. Specialties include duck foie gras with homemade brioche and roast sea scallops. Prices remain very reasonable for this quality: three-course lunches are €32, four-course dinners are €47, and five-course tasting dinners are €57.
