Hôtel Adèle & Jules

2 Cité Rougemont, Paris, 75009, France
David Emmanuel COHEN

Why We Like It

For food, wine, cocktails bars (the nearby 2nd arrondissement is lousy with them), and wonderful restaurants, not to mention some great Paris sites and authentic neighborhoods, this is an exemplary neighborhood. Though slightly off-the-beaten-path, it’s also quiet and far from the tourist hoards.

Fodor's Expert Review

Twin 30-room buildings make up this beautifully designed boutique hotel that opened in summer 2016 in a quiet Paris passageway. For now, Adèle et Jules is an under-the-radar discovery, mostly frequented by the fashion set, but its surplus of style and location in a quiet, under-touristed but fabulous neighborhood, full of restaurants and cocktails bars, means the secret will soon be out.

Room

A handsome palette of retro color schemes—grass green, turquoise, flame red—exotic ikat accents in curtains and throw pillows, chic lighting, and attractive art prints blend stylishly in cozy rooms, some with terraces large enough for a café table. All rooms have Bluetooth speakers, but only Club and Junior Suites come with in-room Nespresso machines. There are no minibars.

You Should Know The hotel does encourage business groups, which in a hotel of this size can be noticeable.

Bathroom

Spotless-white metro-tiled baths have either a spacious walk-in shower or a bath with hand shower, up-to-the-minute fixtures, and all the amenities. Bath products are by the luxury French perfumer Fragonard.

Lobby

Beautiful deep Crayola hues, attractive artworks, deep, plush seating, and a fireplace recreate the perfect chic-Paris-apartment atmosphere, just begging for you to cozy in with a glass of wine from the honor bar.

Dining

A very good buffet breakfast—fruit, pastry, charcuterie and cheese, etc.—is served in your room or the downstairs lounge. There is no in-hotel restaurant, but the hotel serves a complimentary tea time between 4 p.m. and 6 p.m., and the hotel will order in meals at your request.

Drinking

The lounge is a great place to relax and take advantage of a well-stocked honor bar.
