Fodor's Expert Review Ashmount Country House
Mytholmes La., Haworth, Bradford, BD22 8EZ, England
A short walk from the Parsonage, this charming stone building was once home to the Brontë sisters' physician, Amos Ingham. Today it's a peaceful, romantic hideaway where spacious and sunny rooms are individually decorated in a traditional style including swagged curtains. Some have four-posters, while others have whirlpool tubs, working fireplaces, or private patios with hot tubs. The managers are friendly and helpful, the atmosphere is relaxed, and the breakfasts are delicious. The restaurant, which serves Modern British food, is open Wednesday through Sunday.
