Fodor's Expert Review Koffmann's
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Set in the swish Berkeley Hotel, this is the last hurrah of veteran French superchef Pierre Koffmann. Never paying heed to fads or fashion, the clientele here enjoy such signatures as stuffed pig's trotters "Tante Claire" with sweetbreads and morels, or delicately seared scallops with a smudge of black squid ink. The culinary godfather to many of London's top chefs—from Gordon Ramsay to Tom Aikens—Gascon-born Koffmann showcases 35-odd years of experience and the best of regional Gascony cuisine in a cute, carpeted, and well-appointed basement setting.
