Enjoy high-end Caribbean tastes and flavors at this romantic and upscale hideaway on the north shore of pretty Marigot Bay. It's definitely worth the 20-minute-or-so drive from Castries. A little ferry (complimentary for diners) whisks you from the mainland to the alfresco restaurant, which is perched on a dock. Fresh local fish—including the ubiquitous (and foreign) lionfish that is the scourge of local waters but tastes delicious—and prime meats are enhanced by fresh herbs grown in the backyard garden, which is also the source of exotic local vegetables and fruits featured in various dishes. Entrées such as cardamom-and-sugarcane-infused duck breast with plum reduction, coconut-crusted sea bass with chipotle and coco relish, and grilled beef tenderloin with yam fries and vegetable gateaux are impressive. The menu is prix-fixe: $48 for two courses; $59 includes dessert. Dinner is accompanied by a blanket of stars overhead and live jazz on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Saturday nights.
