Fodor's Expert Review Petite Anse Hotel
Grenada
Experienced travelers love this delightful oceanfront hotel at the northern tip of Grenada; it's surrounded by beautiful gardens on one side and an unobstructed view of the southern Grenadines on the other. Two rooms are in the main house; the others are in separate cottages scattered around the pool and gardens. All rooms are decorated with antique mahogany furniture and rich fabrics, and each has a deck or patio with a magnificent view of the sea. Produce for the restaurant is largely grown on the property or at the nearby plantation where the owners, Philip and Annie Clift, live. Philip was a cattle and hop farmer in England, as well as a successful restaurateur, prior to fulfilling his dream by building Petite Anse. Bring a few books, your bathing suit, good walking shoes to explore the nearby hills and dales, and prepare to relax in an idyllic environment.
