One of Hanoi’s less visited historic sights, perhaps due to its distance from the city center, the Ho Chi Minh Trail Museum delivers an interesting insight to the effort and determination that went into maintaining the famous supply route from the Communist north to Vietcong strongholds in the American-backed south of Vietnam. The Perfume Pagoda, meanwhile, offers interesting shrines and a romantic river journey. This trip can also be combined with a visit to the mummies in the Dau Pagoda.
