CBD

On weekdays the Central Business District is packed with professionals traveling to and from work. High-rise office buildings and hotels fill Raffles Place, Shenton Way, Robinson Road, and many of the surrounding streets, but this is also the area where you'll find many masterful buildings and other reminders of colonial Singapore. Across the water is Marina Bay, an extension of the business district that was created through land reclamation in the 1970s. It's now one of the most architecturally significant parts of town, with Marina Bay Sands hotel-casino and the futuristic Gardens by the Bay.
