Community developer Estelle Visser's store, Kalahari Living, reflects her passion to help the impoverished empower themselves. She trains the unemployed to make embroidered wall hangings, place mats, pillow covers, quilts, and laslappietextiles, used in the traditional dresses of the Na'ama people. Among the other popular wares are Themba Masala's colorful papier-ma[cx]che[ac] creations (fish, lizards, tortoises, and water birds), beadwork and other art of the Kalahari Khoisan, and Kalahari skins and leather goods.
