Tour company or driver for Dolomites day tour?
Sorry - ignore! Posted in wrong place and can't figure out how to delete! My husband and I are traveling to the Dolomites in late July. We will be staying in Ortisei without a car. We will be hiking for a few days but we are also interested in a guided driving tour of the area. We are open to a small group tour. Can any recommend a driver or tour company that provides day-long tours?
Thank you!
Thank you!

Tell us first which places you plan to visit.
Almost everything in the area (from the Austrian border up to Madonna die Campiglio and from the Swiss border up to Sexten) is of easy reach by public transport

A few years ago, I booked a taxi for private transfer from/to Bolzano-Ortisei, chosen from the list of taxi operators on the Val Gardena website.
https://www.valgardena.it/en/taxi/
I can't remember which company I used, but I ended up having the same driver both trips--he was great and the vehicle was really comfortable. If you don't want to use public transportation, you could ask your hotel for a recommended taxi service.

The direct buses from Bolzano/Bozen to Urtijei/Ortisei/St. Ulrich run at least every hr,
So do those from Brixen/Bressanone.
Those to Alta Badia/Gadertal - Bruneck/Bornech/Brunico are less frequent.

Thank you for the suggestions. I realize I can use public transportation, however, I am more interested in a guided tour where I can learn something from a local about the history of the area. I will look into the taxi company.
