I tried and tried to find a well located hotel at good pricing but in the end found a well located apartment with good pricing on airbnb. I am not sure if you will find the same but mine was a positive experience for what's it not worth.
I believe Mrs Doubtfire is still showing and if so you may find this a good addition to your plans in London whether it be by yourself or with family.
