Brava, sonaligupta2108! What a delightful trip report. I hated that your Pisa BnB got cancelled as it's a favorite of mine. But you all persevered... your flexibility was vital. I shared your disappointment in the Spanish steps in Rome, but Rhody (my late DH) and I fell in love with Italy starting with Rome. It's hard to imagine living with all that history. Where to next??? And thank you.

ps...I forgot to mention our first experience with focaccia bread; we left our lunch choice to the waiter who brought ham and cheese, peas and cheese, and tomato and cheese on foccacia. Deelish.

Thank you TDudette for reading and appreciating my TR. Foccacia are from another world!!
My trip would most likely be Norway (Summer 2024). But too many things to plan for Norway. We have to let go all the famous hikes because of young kids. Let's see.. Fingers crossed though.

Sonali, thanks for coming back to finish your delightful TR. We’re in Rome this week and you reminded me I haven’t yet had my fix of focaccia.

Norway is stunning, very different from Italy and the southern European countries, magnificent vistas, waterfalls and fjords. Your children are sure to love it, you’re wise to expose them to international travel from a young age. Enjoy the planning, and do tell us all about it!

Just a quick note to say how much I enjoyed your trip report, especially the Cinque Terre part. We will be a family trip (12 people in all) in June and appreciate all the information and experiences (the good and not-so-good). 😉
