Bike Tour: Locarno-Brissago-Ascona-Locarno

Living in central Switzerland, it’s easy to hop on the train to experience warm days in Tessin. Today was such a day so we took the train to Locarno, rented bikes and went on a lovely bike tour of Locarno and vicinity. Here are a few photos to whet your appetite of a tour with e-bikes.

Our tour: Locarno, Losone, Monte Verita, Ronco, Brissago (all done on the high panoramic road) and then back to Ascona and finally Locarno.

Our tour

Thanks for this kleebatt - we were just in Locarno in October - a completely new area to us Swissophiles.

Thank you. Bike riding is a great way to explore areas in Europe, especially when you find paths or roads rarely used by cars.

Tessin is the Italian part of Switzerland so you can feel as if you’ve travelled abroad without ever leaving the country.

Beautiful!

So want to visit the Ticino.
I had booked an apartment in Locarno last year, so still on my itinerary for next time.

I will be happily accompanying you on your ride, thanks!
