First time to Nashville and then to Blackberry Mountain

My boyfriend and I (in our 60's) will be spending 3 nights at Union Station Hotel in Nashville. We love to sight see, shop and eat at great restaurants. Would love recommendations. We are then heading to BlackBerry Mountain by rental car. Is there anything to see on the way? How amazing is Blackberry Mountain??

Are you referring to Blackberry Mountain in Walland? If you're into luxury pampering and seclusion you'll have a wonderful time. Don't expect great cell service, though.

If the above is "yes," the drive from Nashville to Walland is 3+ hours along I-40. Whether there is "anything" to see along the way would depend on how you wish to spend your time. There is The Hermitage; Lebanon and Fiddlers Grove; several wineries; some quaint and quirky museums; quite a few waterfalls and hiking trails...

debs57, you will love the Union Station Hotel! A stunning renovation. A tour bus stopped in front of it when I was there. If you click on my name and scroll down trip reports to "Chasing Sargent in Nashville", you can see more details. Have a great time and please report back about your trip.

by "Nashville courthouse" I mean the state capital grounds; in the spring it is stunning with the blooming trees.
