Europe trip late october

Hi guys. I am planning a europe trip between oct 27, 2022 and november 5,2022 with my wife. I am planning to visit swizterland first and then paris. Approximately 3 to 4 nights in swiz and 3 in paris. Would all the rail lines and attractions be open in swiz during that time ? Is it advisable to visit during this time or plan an alternate destination in europe instead ?

Assuming the whole trip is Oct 27-Nov 5 including travel days, you will have 7.5 days free for sightseeing. Have you been to either Paris or Switzerland before? 3 nights in Paris gives you just 2 full days. If you've not been there before IMO you definitely need more time in Paris. Then you say 3 or 4 nights in Switzerland - that is a whole country so were you thinking of any specific place(s). With just over 1 week, 4 or 5 night in Paris and 2 or 3 nights at one place in Switzerland could be doable. Yes, all public transport is running in Oct/Nov.

We can't tell you if you should go somewhere else instead since we don't know what sorts of things you want to see / do.

(the comment that plans may have to change goes without saying -- no matter where or when you travel . . . anywhere in the world. No one knows what the covid situation will be 5 months from now)

Switzerland: public transport between inhabited places will run, of course. Buses over mountain passes and many gondolas to mountain peaks will not run.
Boats will run on Lakes Zurich and Lucerne only.
