Saguenay & Sydney...Anything to See/Do?
We (hubby & I) will be taking a 10 day cruise from Montreal to NYC in mid-late Oct. I am an over-achiever researcher so have done the research on all the ports and am satisfied that we can walk/tender off the ship, armed with plenty to see/do. HOWEVER, Saguenay & Sydney have shown me nothing but "ho hum, boring, nice people but nothing to see/do except get some exercise!" We like to visit galleries (possibly purchase art/local crafts) but aren't into forts, nature, whales...if you get my drift! We are arriving early in Montreal because that is what excites us, are looking forward to Halifax and Boston, etc. Will we find ANYTHING in Sydney & Saguenay?

I know nothing about Saguenay, but I've been to Sydney a number of times. However, most people who visit NS go for nature or history, which means most of the attractions in the area wouldn't appeal to you. So, obviously Louisburg is out, and probably the Miner's Museum in Glace Bay or the Native Heritage centre in Membertou would also not be your thing. And if nature isn't your thing either, then walking trails and foliage are also out. Hmmm... there is something called the Cape Breton Centre for Craft and Design, just off the waterfront, but it's quite small and I think it opens seasonally. Sorry, that's all I've got. Maybe laze around the ship???

Thank you both for your replies and I especially loved the idea of art + pants hemming! ONLY in a small town could one do both at the same time! As for lazing around the ship, we'll be doing that on the day when we cruise the St. Lawrence and we are so NOT the "laze around the ship" that it will kill us to do so! That said, we'll get off in both Sydney and Saguenay and just see what's there

I searched on the Internet, how to do it, found here https://digital-photography-school.c...igital-images/ an article, but that it still does not understand a lot of nuances
