RE minimum transfer time Schiphol!
ALSO POSTED IN NETHERLANDS FORUM.
Will be transferring from USA arrival to EU connection at Schiphol next May. We are flying business/first. Originally, we had an hour and 25 minutes to arrive from US and make connection to Edinburgh. Delta just change schedules so we now only have 55 minutes to make connection.
Assuming flights are on time, should that be enough time? We are scheduled to arrive 1:25pm. Flight to Edinburgh leaves at 2:20pm. I understand that their may be a "fast-track line" that, among others, can be used by first/business passengers to expedite time through customs and immigration (and recheck bags). Is that correct? Easy to see - when we arrive - signs for that line when we arrive Schiphol immigration? Any hints suggestions on rechecking luggage?
Thanks!

You should not be going through immigration or customs in Shiphol as you are in transit to a 3rd country.
Assuming you will be checked in, with your boarding pass in hand for your flight to Edinburgh before you depart the US you just need to proceed to your departure gate.
If you either don't have your connecting boarding pass already, or your bags don't get tagged through then you are SOL.
Tell us what airlines you are flying and we can give more info.

The UK isn't part of Schengen so there's no immigration / luggage collection / customs for true connections. It's the reason many Northern UK folk use it as it gives shorter usable connection times.
55 minutes however is very tight even by Schiphol standards and not one I would use if connecting to a long haul flight but there are two later flights each day to Edinburgh so you might want to contact Delta to see if you can change to - say - the 16:35 flight which would give you three hours.
Schiphol is one of the better airports for spending a couple of hours between flights

I flew JFK to Toulouse with a 60 minute layover in AMS. I, and my bag, made the connection with no problem. I flew KLM on both legs. Bag was checked through to TLS, so no collecting it and rechecking it.
