One month in Africa
Hey everyone! Looking for some feedback and advice on something I threw together for a one month trip my wife and I will be taking to Africa between Sept 27-Oct 28 2017. We are pretty fast paced travellers in terms that we like to see and do as much as we can in the time we have. I know it's not the most convenient to visit two totally different parts of the continent, but Tanzania safari/Zanzibar is essentially our 12ish day honeymoon while the rest we decided to add on to see the parts we've wanted to see for a while now. Although it would make sense to do Uganda/Kenya/Rwanda with Tanzania, I don't think we can afford the ridiculous gorilla trekking prices in Uganda, which is why we would want to go in the first place. Any recommendations on accommodation, food, places we've misses, places we are wasting on, an general itinerary changes would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, and these days and activities aren't set in stone. I was just plugging in activities based on the days we have to see where things would work...For Cape Town, it will be based on feel for what we want to do each day, just as long as we can try to see all of those listed things.
Finally, it took me a long time to come up with this route plan because I was trying my hardest to visit Okavango Delta. With the trip over to Tanzania, which essentially wastes 2 travel days, it makes it tough to visit as it isn't the easiest place to get to in Botswana. Did I miss something regarding that? Anyone have any recommendations on how that may work in somewhere or instead of something?

You may want to try posting this in the Safaritalk Trip Planning forum (safaritalk.net) The folks there are far more versed in safaris than most here, many are veterans of dozens of trips all over Africa. It's more real people who go on lots of safaris rather than safari planners trying to get your business. I think it would be well worth your while to run this itinerary by them.

Love your beginning SA part and your Namibia is nice. I've done that exact Namibia trip pretty much. If you are adventurous, try sand boarding while in Swakopmund. I wish you would give more time to Joberg, at least another night to take in the history and culture of the country from another point of view, and I think you move way too fast on the safari part in Tanzania. I get it as I wanted to see it all. In the end I chose a part of the Serengeti for the best chance of seeing the migration, the Crater and Lake Eyasi as I wanted to trek with two of the oldest tribes in Africa. I missed out on a lot but what I did do was so satisfying. And I will go back one day! Sounds like an amazing trip. Thrilled you have a month. Enjoy!
